Designer Next India Supported by the Tollywood Glitterati

Designer Next India 2014 hosted the grand fashion show finale at the Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence, CII, near Salt Lake recently. Present at the grand finale were eminent personalities from the film, music, fashion and entertainment industry. Some of the noted faces that were noticed by Sholoana Bangaliana correspondent included producer Satrajit Sen, Actor Saswata Chatterjee, Manoj Michigan, Shataf Figar, Lopamudra Mandal Saha, designer Indroneel Saha, Arijit Datta and others.


The young designers presented unique and new designs in front of the assembled audience and guests. The exquisite designs and the great range of colors on display were mind blowing. The young designers presented both Indian and Western wears as well as Indo-Western outfits. Lace, fabrics, embroidery were some of the most popular ensembles seen on the ramp.


Eminent Tollywood actor Saswata Chatterjee, actress Debjani Modak (of Knockout fame) acted as showstoppers for the young designers too. Speaking at the occasion, Sayani Datta said “This is indeed a great platform for the young designers to reach out to the customers with their designs. They will also get a chance to showcase their creative skills also. They will not have to work under any reputed designer to get an exposure. This is indeed beneficial for the young designers”.


The creative director of the fashion show was Sandy Larma while the choreography part was handled by Sam Williams. Certificates were given to the winners by the guests present at the two day fashion event.

The next level of the Designer Next India will be held at Ludhiana, Lucknow and Guwahati.
