Grand Pre-Puja exhibition at World School of Fashion and Arts; Students of Designing showcase their Creative Best

The students of World School of Fashion & Arts presented their 1st exhibition at their Salt Lake centre recently.  The exhibition was inaugurated by ace fashion designer Agnimitra Paul, actor Joy Sengupta and the well-known Bangladeshi fashion designer Biplab Saha.

World School of Fashion & Arts is the brain-child of internationally renowned Indian Fashion Designer, Arnab Sengupta. Arnab has always been into teaching fashion and now he wants to give something more to the industry and the students. World School of Fashion & Arts has come up with a One Year Diploma in Fashion Designing. On completion, the students would get an opportunity to showcase their work nationally and internationally. Arnab will be showcasing these budding talents in international fashion weeks. Moreover, the students will be sent for internship with eminent designers of the fashion industry. Special classes and workshops will be taken by well-known fashion designers like Wendell Rodricks, Bibi Russell, Agnimitra Paul, Sarbari Dutta and many more.

Apart from this, there is a 6 months Certificate course in Acting and Modelling. Special classes and workshops will be taken by actors and models like Joy Sengupta, Rituparna Sengupta, Sudipa Basu, Ushoshi Sengupta, Nayanika Chatterjee and many more. After completion, students will be sent for audition and for working in fashion shows.

The course fees for one year Diploma in Fashion Designing is Rs. 30,000 and Certificate course in Acting and Modelling is Rs. 30,000. The institute would launch courses on Fashion Journalism and styling very soon. The institute also conducts special classes for minority and underprivileged students. Arnab stronly feels that fashion is the need of the day and every child has an equal right in getting good education.

The exhibition continued from the 14th – 16th of August, 2015 from 12pm – 6pm at the Salt lake centre.
