Kolkata saw the launch of its first customized knick-knacks and lifestyle décor store in the city to offer an exquisite range of lifestyle utility merchandises by the pioneer knick knack designer Gayatri Birla Agarwal. She is the creator of Call Buddy. The Call Buddy Couture was unveiled in the presence of danseuse Alokananda Roy, actor Koneenica Banerjee, jewelry designer Nilanjana Chakraborty and international pianist and designer Rajlakshmi Ghosh.

The unique design house has been providing Kolkata with tailored lifestyle products which range from personal to corporate products. Thirty five exclusive saris and thirty clutch bags were on display. The products do not have a replica and hence they ensure exclusiveness to the customers. This aspect is of much importance in recent times. The products have been conceptualized, designed and made by the team at Couture. Along with these there are also household, corporate and personal products on display too.

Speaking at the occasion, the designer said “The saris on display blend the contemporary with the traditional effectively. The brand also has a collection of light-heavy saris for the customers. This they can wear in the day to work and later for any party can accessorize them according to their needs. The clutch bags that are on display are again a blend between the East and the West. A special range of embroidered clutches are also available for the customers”.
