Triagon launched Kriti, a unique initiative by a group of young entrepreneurs and event planners for revolutionizing the fashion industry in the virgin areas of the country. There are many areas which have the potential but have not been explored much. With the aim of reaching out to these areas, the unique initiative was launched. Eminent fashion designers Sharbari Datta, Agnimitra Paul and Arnab Sengupta showcased their latest Fall Winter collection. The outfits were showcased by eminent city models like Madhabilata, Saurav Jha, Rukmini Maitra and Sharad. Pinky Kenwrothy will be doing the choreography for the three designers.

“I hardly do ramp shows. But it is due to the insistence of this young group of people that I finally agreed to do the show. I have never done a show in Siliguri before. This is my first show in Siliguri and I am looking forward to it” said designer Sharbari Datta while speaking with Sholoana Bangaliana.

Arnab Sengupta who has been mentored by Sharbari Datta was visibly excited to be sharing the stage with his mentor. “When I was in NIFT, Sharbari di used to come to teach us. I know her from my NIFT days. She has come to nearly all my events and those that she has missed were simply due to other work commitments. However this will be a good opportunity for me to share the ramp with her. Pinky will be choreographing the event which is another plus point” said designer Arnab Sengupta.

“When Rohan and his twelve friends asked me to do the show, I initially thought that they are just like the others. They will come and tell and later they will not go forward with the show. But I was so wrong! I have grown up watching Sharbari di and to be able to share the stage with her at Kriti will be a good experience for me. This will also be a good way of enhancing the fashion infrastructure in these virgin areas” said Agnimitra Paul.

Sharbari Datta showcased her men’s outfit consisting of angrakhas teamed with dhotis. One angrakhas had motifs of Kolkata while the other had Radha and Krishna motifs on it.

Agnimitra Paul showcased her vibrancy in her designs. Her Indo-Western outfit consisted of festive designs in mint green and pink.

Arnab Sengupta’s dress was designed keeping in mind hundred years of Indian cinema. The flapper style worn by the actors of the 30s and the 40s had chikankari and thread work on it.

Kriti will be a good fashion event for the virgin markets in the North-East. The two day event will take place at Club Montana Vista.
