Sushmita Sen and Irrfan Khan Dazzle Kolkata at Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2014

The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2014 celebrated substance in style. The fashion show in its tenth edition arrived in Kolkata as the final stop. The two day fashion show took place on the 12th and 13th of December at The Oberoi Grand Hotel, Kolkata.


The Blenders Pride Fashion Tour started on 15th November. It travelled to cities like Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Bengaluru and Mumbai before coming to Kolkata. The five city tour saw the likes of designers like Rocky Star, Neeta Lulla, Little Shilpa, Suneet Varma showcasing their designer wear for the audience.


Day one of the fashion show saw the beautiful creations by ace designers Varun Bahl and Abraham and Thakore. The second day the audience witnessed the designs made by designers Pankaj and Nidhi and Namrata Joshipura. The groovy notes of music by Gaurav, Raina and Tapan Raj blended well with the designs showcased by the models on stage.


Speaking at the fashion event on day one, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan said “Being expressive is my style statement. To be able to hold on to the attention of the audience with a character I portray on screen is my style. For me style is any individual’s power of expression. I am happy to be a part of this fashion event as this fashion show goes beyond fashion and celebrates substance with style”.


Ex- Miss Universe and Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen set the ramp on fire in her golden thigh slit long gown. The actress surely captivated the minds of the audience and proved why she was crowned the prestigious award so many years ago.

The Blenders Pride fashion tour in Kolkata brought together an entourage of brilliant artists who exuded style with substance, which is the essence of this fashion tour. The riveting fashion show ended with promise of coming back the next year in all its splendour and hue.
