Tollywood actress Payel Sarkar inaugurates Nakshikantha line of Gold Jewelry by Shyam Sundar Co Jewelers

Keeping in line with the famous Bengali verse Nakshikanthar Math meaning the field of the embroidered quilt, Shyam Sundar Co jewelers presented the new jewelry line titled Nakshikanthar Math. The inauguration was done by Tollywood actress Payel Sarkar and Mr. Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewelers.


The audience present at the inauguration witnessed a unique fashion theatre where the jewelry was introduced by Payel Sarkar and eminent city models like Madhura Dasgupta, Sona Goldar, Sonal and Roshni Bhattacharya.


Speaking at the occasion, Singer Rupankar Bagchi said “I remember the time when Nakshikanthar Math used to be included in our school syllabus. The poem by Jasimuddin speaks greatly about the culture of Bengal and the unique way in which this has been adapted by Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers is impressive”.


The Nakshikantha collection consists of light weight contemporary jewelry. The semi-formal jewelry can be teamed with both Indian as well as Western attire. Made on a base of semi gloss wood, Meenakari has also been used for the jewelry in this collection. Available in a range of Rs. 28000 to Rs. 38000, the jewelry is affordable for the middle class customers too. The collection is available at the Triangular park outlet and the Behala outlet of the jewelry store.

Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Co Jewelers said “The concept of this new jewelry has been derived from the poem by poet Jasimuddin. The women wearing the range will not only showcase feminine beauty but also highlight the rich cultural heritage of Bengal”.

After the unique fashion show was over, the audience was treated to songs performed by Rupankar Bagchi and Dipannita Acharya.
